About Stitch-courtesy post

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with White
9 year old Stitch is a very loving, mature, beautiful lil' man!!  He enjoys sleeping most of the day, but will perk up at the sound of a squeaky toy or plush.  He has been through a lot before coming into rescue, and with LOTS of love and patience warms up and attaches to his people very quickly.  He can be cranky, snappy, and growly at times, but who isn't after all that he has been through.  He came to us after being pulled from a shelter and was marked as a stray.  We believe he was a breeding dog and kenneled most of his life. He has come a long way in his foster home, and is crate trained, house trained, and likes to bark.  He enjoys his naps, snuggle time, belly rubs, massages, and sun bathing.  Stitch is sight impaired, and relies heavily on his hearing to navigate. He requires eye drops throughout the day, is up to date on shots and is neutered.

He will do best in a house that is low key with maybe one or two fur siblings that are calm.  Warning him by calling his name out helps him know you are present and once that tail wags you are in his good graces!!  He does need time to wake up before handling.  He would not do best in homes with young children under 13 yrs. old.

Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
