Meet Lily Rose – A Gentle, Playful Spirit on the Path to Trust

Lily Rose is a precious 15-month-old Havanese with a heart full of love, waiting for the right person to help her bloom. Small but mighty at 12 lbs, she’s sweet, playful, and learning to trust the world around her. Though skittish, she finds comfort in routine and adores playing with her toys—she’ll even gather them all up and keep them in her special spot!

She’s shy around new people, especially men, but with patience and kindness, she’s making progress every day. Lily Rose comes around faster to women and will bark at men, but her confidence is growing. She gets along well with dogs, though she can be a little timid, and while she hasn’t met cats yet, she’d likely adjust with time.

Her ideal home will be with someone who understands her cautious nature and is careful around open doors, as she’s a fast little runner! She’s pee-pad trained and slowly warming up to outside potty breaks, though she still prefers to handle her business indoors. Crates aren’t her thing, and she doesn’t know commands just yet, but she’s intelligent and ready to learn in the right environment.

With patience, love, and gentle encouragement, Lily Rose will become a devoted and affectionate companion, proving that trust, once earned, is the most beautiful bond.

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
