Adoption Bio for Dorothy
Meet Dorothy! This sweet, 2-year-old, 8-pound Pekingese mix is a survivor with a heart full of love. Dorothy was found as a stray in Louisiana with an ulcerated eye, but she’s now on the road to recovery and ready to find her forever home.
Dorothy is timid, though it’s unclear if this is due to her past pain or just her gentle nature. She’s currently working on potty training, walking on a leash, and riding in a car without fear. While she can be shy at first, she absolutely loves cuddles and is deeply loyal to her person. Dorothy also enjoys exploring on walks but doesn’t get underfoot—she’s the perfect balance of affectionate and independent.
This brave little girl has undergone eye enucleation and spaying, so her new life as a diva is just beginning! She doesn’t fuss much, but if she does, it’s usually her way of letting you know she needs a little extra attention. Dorothy coexists peacefully with a medium-sized Corgi/Terrier mix in her foster home, but her compatibility with playful dogs or cats is unknown.
Dorothy has been through so much in her short life and is ready to be pampered and adored in her forever home. If you can offer her the life of a cherished queen, she’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty. Dorothy will be available for adoption soon through Tired Dog Rescue , which specializes in small dogs.
Fostering Dorothy has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, and this amazing organization is always in need of fosters. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please consider applying today and help make a difference in the lives of dogs like Dorothy!
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
