Matty J is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu with a now short black-and-tan coat and a sassy streak that will keep you smiling! Weighing in at 16 lbs, this neutered cutie is house-trained, loves car rides, and gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs—he’s a social superstar.

True to his unique personality, Matty J likes to stick his tongue out at the world, giving him a quirky and endearing look that matches his playful nature. While he’s not the biggest fan of being groomed, his charm and loving spirit make it well worth the effort to keep him looking dapper.

Matty J is highly food-motivated (treats, anyone?) and full of curiosity, making training and bonding a breeze. However, he’s also a clever little escape artist, so a secure yard or leash walks are a must to keep this adventurous boy safe.

Found as a stray, Matty J is ready to leave his wandering days behind and settle into a loving forever home. Could that be with you?

Apply to adopt him through Tired Dog Rescue in Gulfport, MS, and let this tongue-out cutie steal your heart!
