Hi, my name is Koa. That means survivor or warrior. If you had seen me before, you know why I got this name. I was found as a stray in pretty bad condition. Thanks to a haircut, a bath and a vet visit I am feeling so much better. I am neutered and now up to date on shots. The vet estimates me to be 10 years old and I weigh about 10 pounds. I appear to be blind and deaf. My foster parents think though that I might be able to see shadows. I am currently getting ear drops for an ear infection. So I also might not be completely deaf after all. Time will tell. My teeth are pretty bad but I have a dental appointment coming up in March.

 

I do go outside to potty, when someone takes me outside when I wake up, but have accidents in the house. Right now, I'm wearing belly bands and also use pee pads. I found the patio door to go outside pretty easily and I go out and come back in on my own. When I go outside on my own, I do my business there. I found my way around the house too. I'd do best with a person who is home a lot, because I don't like to be alone for too long. I can do it though. I am not crated at my foster home.

When I wear a diaper and am home alone, I just lay down somewhere and go to sleep. I love to be close to you on the couch. You have to understand what I have been through, so you'll have to be patient with me. I am relearning how to be a pet. I have been out in the streets for a very long time! I like toys. Particularly the ones with crinkle paper in the middle. I hope I can find a loving home and someone special for my golden years. I have been through a lot and just want to be loved and cuddled now. I still have so much love to give!
