Lancelot...that's right...my name is Lancelot, but you can call me Lance if you like. I am a regal six-month-old red dachshund and I weigh 9 pounds. I am heartworm negative and will be up to date on all my shots as well as neutered before adoption.
I am a happy-go-lucky puppy that is loving life! I am bouncy, goofy, and everything you would expect with a six-month-old baby! I am working on my house training and I'm doing good but not fully trained yet! Please keep that in mind that I'm just a puppy! I will need someone that is willing to work with me to finish my training and get up in the night if I need to go potty! Patience is key!
I love love love sleeping with my foster family and being around them as much as possible! I love humans! I am good with children and other dogs. It's unknown how I am with cats but that can be tested before adoption if needed.
I've been in a crate and I do not like it! I will bark and bark until I can be with my people. I would need someone to work with me on learning the crate is a safe space and not a jail cell (which is what I consider it right now!). When my foster mom needs to leave, she leaves me loose in the house or in the bathroom and I do great. I am not a destructive puppy!
My foster mom says I'm a heart stealer and a total love. I love my toys and like to gather all of them and hide them in my bed...it's become a fun game! I am still learning dog things like walking on a leash, commands, and tricks. I would love to have a human that wants to teach me all the things!
Please keep in mind I am a baby! I will need work on my house training as I am not house broke, I have sharp puppy teeth, and I am still learning how to be a good dog! Please research the care and training that goes into puppies and if it's too much, we have plenty of adult dogs looking for their forever home as well!

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
