Hey y’all, the name’s Mattie Bee, or Mattie for short. If you’re looking for a fun loving dog for your active family, look no further… I’m your guy! My breed is a bit of a mystery, maybe a terrier mix or a Doxie mix… no one really knows for sure. See, I was found as a stray and ended up at the shelter. Then the nice folks at Tired Dog Rescue pulled me from the shelter so they could find me the loving home that I deserve. I was severely matted when I arrived at the shelter, so they had to shave off all my fur. But don’t worry, it will grow back long and healthy. I was also underweight at just 12 pounds. But I have filled out some since I get to eat quality food now and no longer have to wonder when my next meal will be. Since being in my foster home, I’ve discovered that I really, really love to play with toys. I could play for hours, especially when if someone is willing to play fetch with me. If you have other dogs, I get along with them too, and we can all play together. I’m not sure how I would be around cats since there aren’t any cats in my foster home. And humans, well, I love my humans. I can get vocal when I am bored or want to play or when I am hungry, so apartment living would not be a good fit for me. I’m about 2 years old, up to date on vaxes and have been neutered. I’m overall a healthy dog and heartworm negative. I am still working on potty training. Since I’ve been on my own for a while, I didn’t have anyone to teach me where I should go potty. But I’m a smart guy, and I’m willing to learn if you are patient with me. If you think you would be a great fit for me, please apply at www.tireddogrescue.com.
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
