COURTESY POST. NOT IN THE CARE OF TDR.

Rex  came to us from a shelter during Mardi Gras (All hail King Rex). He was picked up as a stray. He was severely emaciated (skin and bones) and heartworm positive. It took us several months to get him healthy and then to undergo heartworm treatment. He has made a full recovery and now looking for his forever home. Rex is young, 2-3 years old, has put on weight and now at a healthy 17 lbs., he has come far in foster care. He was starving when taken in earlier this year. He did have some issues with food, as the poor thing probably had been on his own and not eaten in quire a while. He will need help with housebreaking. He has spent many months under medical care and accidents are common during this time with all the treatments/medicines. He does love walking on a leash and will "go" when out for a walk, but still unsure of going in a yard (fenced). We think he probably spent his short life outside, and afraid he won't be allowed back inside. Though, he is pretty smart, and we are sure now that he is healthy and with a routine and settled he will pick up housebreaking in no time. He loves car rides and does well while in the car. toys are his favorite and he is playful, loves to play with other dogs or his people, is a snugger, also loves to curl up next to you on the couch or in bed (under the covers)

He has come a very long way. He does well at mealtime. He knows the routine and waits for his bowl or treat. We will be happy to answer any questions, just email us. Rex deserves a chance. He is very young and full of love he doesn't even know how to give yet.

He is UTD shots, neutered, micro-chipped
