WHO'S YOUR BUDDY BEAUX? This handsome bull terrier/hound mix was a stray found wandering on U.S. 90. He doesn't behave like a stray, though. Buddy Beaux is well mannered, gentle and friendly. He gets along with other dogs--big and small--and loves toys, car rides and lounging in the sunny grass or his snuggly bed. Approximately 3 years-old, Buddy is very affectionate and sometimes a little goofy. He gets along with kids, but at 60 pounds, a home with small children might not be best. We have no information on how Buddy feels about cats. He is house- and leash trained, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He is scheduled to be neutered. Unfortunately, Buddy is heartworm positive, but he will begin treatment soon. Because he's in such good health otherwise, his prognosis is very good. He needs a home in the Gulfport area so he can stay with his current vet. Heartworm treatment requires a dog remain calm with little physical activity for several months. This guy is totally worth it, though. He's going to make someone a wonderful pet for many years to come. Available through Tired Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS. Fee: $275. Apply at tireddogrescue.org.
Special Needs: Adoptive home in Gulfport area required to continue heartworm treatment. Low physical activity a must for several months.
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
