LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL FAMILY Luke is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who has lost the only home he has ever known because his owners are too ill to care for him any longer. He is very untrusting right now and just wants to be left alone. Luke previously lived with two female dogs and is getting along with the Dachshund in his foster home. Whoever adopts Luke will need to give him time and space to adjust. Having a canine friend likely will be helpful. He is housebroken and uses potty pads. Luke needs to be adopted sooner rather than later so he does not have to make this adjustment all over again. He was raised with a mature couple and, based on his fearfulness, should probably not be with young children as he is reactive initially. Luke is heartworm negative, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. If you think you can provide the right home for this sweet, scared little fellow, apply at tireddogrescue.org. Fee: $175. Available through Tired Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS.
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
