COCO RYAN HAS BEEN THROUGH A LOT. This senior Chihuahua was abandoned, quite unintentionally, when his owner passed away with no one's knowledge. (Take a second and ponder what that would be like.) Coco Ryan was in very poor health when he was rescued, but he is on the road to recovery, physically, mentally and emotionally. At this time, Coco weighs a little over five pounds and his estimated age is 12-13 years. His foster mom is going the extra mile to pack as many nutrients and calories as possible into this little guy's diet so he gains some weight. Now under a veterinarian's care, Coco is up to date on vaccinations, and has been tested and confirmed heartworm negative. He acquired fleas (or the fleas acquired him) when he was alone, so he's being treated for a skin condition. It will take a little time for his coat to regrow. He also has had a dental cleaning, is neutered and microchipped. He needs and wants to be near his person as much as possible.
