HE'S NOT RUSTY WHEN IT COMES TO CHARM Rusty loves attention and belly rubs, and he gets along with children, cats and other dogs. This 12-year-old Chihuahua weighs five pounds and is in generally good health for his age. He has a heart murmur and was a bit anemic when he came into care. He had a loving owner whose health deteriorated, so Rusty had to be surrendered. His previous owner said, " Rusty is very friendly and will scratch at your leg to get belly rubs. He is normally quiet unless you gate him off from everyone.” Like all dogs in TDR's care, Rusty is neutered, microchipped and is in the process of getting up to date on his vaccinations. He's also received an injection for 12 months of heartworm prevention. His heart condition is being monitored and more information is coming about what care Rusty will need beyond a quiet, loving home with regular meals, gentle playtime and cuddles. Available at Tied Dog Rescue, Gulfport, MS. Fee: $175. Apply at tireddogrescue.org
We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
