Hi, I'm Sterling the Shih Tzu. I'm a friendly 8 year old boy.  I'm about 15 pounds and pretty active.  I like kids, car rides, warm baths, and my dog pals. I'm already microchipped and neutered.  I accidently lost my way and wound up at the shelter but the nice people at Tired Dog Rescue came to save me.  I was so happy that I gave my foster mommy lots of wags and kisses.  I got to meet her other dogs and I liked them!  And guess what?  They liked me too!   We really like to play together.  I saw some cats and they seem like they are OK too.  I was kind of skinny at first but I think I've gained a pound or so because I sure like to eat.  Well, I have to tell you, apparently my previous owners didn't keep me on heartworm preventative and I got them.  Yuck!  I still feel good though.  The vet will get me all fixed up soon and I’ll be great!  I will have to get lots of rest so I can recover but I don't mind hanging out in my crate.  I'm doing really good learning my potty skills and how to NOT run out the door when its opened because I sure don't want to get lost again.  Now if I could just find someone that wants to take me home.  Could that someone be YOU?
