Buck is the sweetest boy you have ever met! He is extremely mild mannered and the most excitement you will get out of him is a whole body tail wag and his glowing eyes. Buck is approximately a year-old hound mix who is great with everything and everybody! He loves kids, actually, he gets most excited to see his children friends. He ignores cats completely and gets along with all dogs he has come into contact with. He enjoys laying in is crate or on a comfy dog bed. He is hesitant to jump up and walks very slowly on a leash. If you are looking for a dog to run with you for exercise he is probably not your dog. He would prefer to be lazy with you on the couch! He is doing well on crate training; he will have an occasional accident if left too long in kennel. He prefers to go outside in the fenced back yard to potty versus a leash walk.

Buck was found on the side of the road late one afternoon in June, hit by a car and unable to move. He apparently didn’t have a home but was being fed by a neighbor close by. He has a bit of a slow gate, due to the injuries sustained to his pelvis and femur. His doctors say he should have a full recovery and live a normal life. He is searching for a family to love him! He will do well in a house with other animals and also as the only dog.

More about Buck

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
