Roxie is a 5-7 year old very sweet, 6 pound wire haired terrier mix. She loves to go for walks and ride in the car and look out the window. She sleeps in the bed on your pillow all night and loves to sit in your lap. She is housebroken if you take her out often but sometimes she forgets she's supposed to go out and goes inside on the pee pee pad.

Roxie gets along with other dogs but thinks she is a big dog in a little body by being the dominant one and because she wants all the attention! She is crate trained and does fine if you are in the same room but she does not like to be alone and will cry for you. If you work then she will do better with a friend to keep her company. She eats in a kennel when around other dogs or will eat out of her bowl on the floor if by herself.

She can clear a tall baby gate so it's recommended she be leash walked or you are outside with her at ALL times. She does very well on a leash. She is obsessed with my bird and jumps up to try and get him. She will also chase after squirrels and birds outside which is another reason to leash walk her.  If left outside alone I feel she will climb over a fence and run away.

Roxie is a sweet dog and we would love to see her go to a family where someone is home most of the time and has the time and energy to be able to leash walk her

Her fee is 150.00 and apps can be found at www.tireddogrescue.com

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Adults

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
